Our Purpose and Participation Guidelines
The Christian Heritage Parade & Faith Festival is, first and foremost, a Christ-centered gathering. While we joyfully celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, this event is not simply a patriotic celebration — it is a public declaration of the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the unshakable truth of the Gospel. Our desire is to gather with like-minded believers to glorify God, proclaim salvation through Christ alone, and rejoice in the spiritual freedom He has given us.
This event specifically honors the spiritual foundation laid by the early Christian settlers who came to these shores seeking the freedom to worship God. We are gathering not to lift up the idea of America alone, but to celebrate the legacy of faith that has shaped this nation — and to point people to the true source of liberty, Jesus Christ.
We deeply honor the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our country — including veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. However, participation in this event is not based on public service or national identity. It is a gathering of the Body of Christ — a community united in faith, worship, and testimony. All parade participants must agree to and align with our Statement of Faith, not as a barrier, but as a reflection of the spiritual unity we are called to in Scripture (Philippians 1:27; Ephesians 4:3–6).
We recognize that some may wish to participate out of a sincere desire to represent their American heritage. While we appreciate that desire, we lovingly encourage those individuals to consider joining with others who share both their background and their faith — creating Christ-honoring groups that are welcome to march in unity with our mission.

Marriage is a covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church — sacrificial, faithful, and loving. A husband is commanded to love his wife just as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her (Ephesians 5:25). We affirm the sanctity of lifelong covenant marriage, and we also acknowledge the devastating reality of abuse, abandonment, and unrepentant sin. These are grievous violations of God's design and may require separation or protection. We do not condone, support, or imply that anyone should remain in an abusive or dangerous situation.
Genesis 2:24 (NASB)
“For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.”Matthew 19:4–6 (NASB)
“And He answered and said, ‘Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, “For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh”? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.’”Ephesians 5:25–33 (NASB)
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word… Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.”

Psalm 139:13–14 – “For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.”

Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
-
Ephesians 4:3–6 – “Being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all, and through all, and in all.”
John 17:20–23 – “I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word, that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one.”
1 Corinthians 12:12–13 – “For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.”
